The year of 2025 witnessed great value and growth being created across the organization. The Board of Directors continued to focus on organizational excellence anchored in best-in-class governance practices. In the area of Governance, emphasis was placed on corporate compliance through the establishment, in late 2024, of the Group Corporate Compliance Department.
During 2025, the Group Corporate Compliance department set to establish the various check lists related to the Board of Directors’ approved policies and began compliance assessment and implementation with Board oversight and related guidance. The focus on compliance indicates the Board’s commitment to governance and transparency.
With respect to the company’s rating, Zain achieved a major milestone by solidifying its position in several key rating indices. In the Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) rating, the company achieved ‘A’ level score, while Zain’s rating in S&P was significantly improved to maintain the top level in the region. In the FTSE4Good, Zain scored above industry average.
The improved ratings reflect the Board’ commitment to ESG practices and efforts given by the Corporate Governance and Corporate Sustainability Departments, which are committed to solidifying Zain’s leading position within the ICT sector.
